First let me start by saying the Ward-stone Chronicles has really affected me in a way that sometimes I even pretend i'm a spook battling witches and boggarts. It is really amazing what reading can do for a person. To be honest the ward-stone chronicles is the first series I've ever finished with a smile on my face. I really enjoyed reading every single book and I'm looking forward for the next one.
My first question is will Tibb's Prophecy come true in the end? Will Alice really die for Tom?
“I see a girl, soon to be a woman," Tibb continues. "The girl who will share your life. She will love you, she will betray you, and finally she will die for you. And it will all have been for nothing. All for nothing in the end.”
And can a malevolent witch such as Alice with time become benevolent?
I have answered the first bit regarding Tibbs prophecy in a previous question.
Yes a malevolent witch could change for the better. The reverse could also happen. The future is not fixed and anybody can be redeemed or alternatively drift towards the dark!
I am glad to hear you get so much out of the books and you are right, it is amazing what reading can do!
